Sydney Donahue - Founder, CEO

Sydney Donahue has a long history with volleyball. She attended Mira Costa High School and received a full scholarship to Arizona State University. At ASU she started all 4 years as the libero. She is considered the best libero in ASU history still holding the all time PAC-12 dig record with 2,385 digs. In a single season Donahue recorded 742 digs averaging 5.87 digs per game. She also holds the NCAA record for 50 digs in a 3 set match. 

Sydney currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director at Vistamar School and is the varsity head coach for the girls volleyball program.

 

 

 

 

Marcio SicoliDirector of Beach Volleyball Development

Marcio Sicoli is a world renowned beach volleyball coach. He is a three-time Olympic coach ( Athens '04, London '12, Rio '16). Among many other players coached by Sicoli, he was the coach of Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh when they brought home their 3rd consecutive gold medal for beach volleyball in London 2012. Before London. he was part of the coaching staff for Adriana Behar and Shelda Bede for a Olympic silver medal in Athens. His latest accomplishment was leading Kerri Walsh-Jennings and April Ross to a bronze medal in the Rio Olympic Games. 

He currently serves as the Assistant Coach at Pepperdine University for the women's beach volleyball team, who have an impressive record of 85-13 (.867).

Matt Young, Director of Beach Volleyball Rating

Matt Young oversees all aspects of strength and conditioning for 17 sports at Pepperdine University and runs the Athletic Performance Center, which was built in 2009. He directly works with the men's basketball, beach volleyball and women's golf teams.

Young was previously the Vice President and Director of Athletic Performance for M.A.D. (Making a Difference) Sports Training based in South Bend, Ind. He contracted with several local colleges to provide training of their athletes, including Saint Mary's, Holy Cross and Bethel.

Young earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from Lipscomb, graduating with a degree in Exercise Science in 2001 and later earning his Master's in Education in 2004.
